This exciting, family-friendly event celebrated puppetry, visual arts and promenade live performance.
In a contemporary retelling of the Noah story from the animals’ perspective, scripted by Alison Watt, Yorkshire Coast College and Beach Hut Theatre Company combined forces to create an experience
which turned the gardens, shopping area and beach of the beautiful town of Scarborough into a vast, outdoor performance space.
Large audiences met an array of entertaining animal characters and uncovered Kosey the Lion’s mission
to find his mate before the rains fall and the Ark made ready to leave.
Yorkshire Coast College students from the Costume Degree Course created innovative puppets from
recycled materials, and were joined on the project by musicians from The Underground music course, and by students from Art and Design and Performing Arts.
A huge, talented cast of locally based, Beach Hut actor-puppeteers completed the team and delivered the
performance of a lifetime.
